The Congleton-Etheridge Memorial Scholarship for 2024 Academic Year

A scholarship fund has been established to provide future financial support to undergraduate members of the Company L-4.  The Scholarship, a onetime award will be in the amount of $1,000.00.

The Scholarship is open to applicants who are legitimately enrolled at NCSU or its affiliates, are enrolled in the ROTC Program, and are members in good standing of Company L-4, and who are rising sophomores or higher.

Applicants must be L-4 brothers who have been members for one year, which includes one semester as a pledge and one semester as a brother of Company L-4, or whose one semester as a brother is imminent, impending, or close to completion. 

Awards are made for one year of study leading to a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree and Scholarships shall be awarded to an individual only once.

Applications will be accepted beginning 10 January 2024 and must be received no later than 31 January 2024.  All additional supporting documentation must be submitted by 3 February 2024 to be eligible for consideration.

Requirements and Procedures

  1. Applications must be received no later than 31 January 2024 with all supporting documentation by 3 February 2024 to be eligible for consideration.

  6. Applicants must provide evidence of sound academic achievement including GPA and their degree.

  7. Applicants must give evidence of their passion and integrity for leadership by submitting a supporting essay of 500 words minimum entitled, ‘What Do Passion and Integrity in Leadership Mean to You?’

  8. Scholarship funds may be used for student tuition, textbooks, academic fees or other academic related expenses for study.

  9. Supporting documents may be submitted along with the online application or be emailed separately to thoswan@att.net.

  10. All information submitted on the application, including any additional documents, are to be held confidential by the Scholarship Committee.
